Gogo Stops SmartSky Bid to Save Damages Case Before Patent Trial

Gogo Inc. kept a scheduled trial on track as a federal judge rejected SmartSky Networks LLC’s attempt to delay the Nov. 17 start and redo its damages expert evidence in a lawsuit over in-flight 5G Wi-Fi patents.

Judge Joshua Wolson, ruling from the bench Monday during a virtual hearing in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, denied SmartSky’s request to continue the trial and redo its damages evidence less than two weeks before jury selection.
