IN THE BIGGEST PURGE of nonpartisan regulatory advice in decades, the Trump administration has cut some 160 expert advisory committees across the US government — almost a third of them over the recommendations of the federal agencies that oversee them, Robert Iafolla, Andrew Wallender and Austin Ramsey report.
