Amer Sports Winter & Outdoor Company will pay $350,000 to settle an EEOC lawsuit alleging unlawful retaliation under the Age Discrimination and Employment Act.
An employee in Boulder, Colo., complained multiple times about age discrimination at the recreational gear company during a restructuring, according to the 2024 lawsuit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The employee said younger colleagues were placed in new leadership roles during a company restructuring without giving older workers the chance to apply, the suit said.
