Amazon Exits Deal Challenge Lawsuit by Dashcam Maker’s Investor

Amazon.com Inc. is free of litigation in Delaware over a $4 million licensing agreement allegedly involving a dashcam version of its Ring product that an Owlcam Inc. investor has challenged with kickback claims.

Vice Chancellor Paul A. Fioravanti Jr. let Amazon out of the case, dismissing claims for civil conspiracy, unjust enrichment, and aiding and abetting fiduciary breaches by Owlcam corporate leaders who allegedly took $1 million in side payments to scuttle a better deal with another suitor.

The lawsuit by an affiliate of asset manager Broadscale Group LLC, which invested more than $7.5 million in Owlcam, is still moving ...
