KKR, ECP Are Said to Weigh Raising Bid for Energy Group DCC (1)

KKR & Co. and Energy Capital Partners are considering raising their offer to acquire energy provider DCC Plc, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The private equity investors are working with advisers to determine how much they should increase a previous bid of £58-a-share that was rejected by DCC as too low, according to the people.

DCC shares rose as much as 6.6% in London on Tuesday. The stock closed around 2.8% higher at £61.15, giving the company a market value of roughly £5.2 billion ($7 billion).
