Oklo and Centrus Plan Venture to Supply Advanced Nuclear Fuel

Oklo Inc. is pursuing a joint venture with Centrus Energy Corp. to supply fuel for advanced reactors, a technology that’s key to US efforts to bolster the nuclear energy industry amid soaring demand for power to run artificial intelligence.

The companies are in talks to collaborate on an Ohio facility that would provide deconversion services, according to a statement Monday. Deconversion, or changing enriched uranium into a different chemical form that can be fabricated into fuel, is an important link in the complicated nuclear supply chain.
