Renewable Energy Groups Allege Agencies Unlawfully Block Permits

A coalition of renewable energy industry groups sued multiple federal agencies for banning wind and solar developments in violation of federal law.

Renew Northeast, Alliance for Clean Energy New York, and other regional groups alleged policies like the Federal Lands Anti-Renewable Order and Renewable Bottleneck Memorandum were “contrived to harm wind and solar industries,” according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
