President Donald Trump ‘s decision to stop the US Department of Transportation from disbursing $5 billion in funds appropriated for the development of electric vehicle infrastructure was blocked by a federal court.

The administration overstepped its constitutional and statutory authority and attempted to override the express will of Congress when it suspended the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program, Judge Tana Lin said Tuesday for the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
