Warren Buffett Says He’s Disappointed by Breakup of Kraft Heinz

Warren Buffett said he’s disappointed in the planned split of Kraft Heinz Co., though he concedes the merger he orchestrated a decade ago wasn’t a brilliant idea.

Still, the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. chief executive officer said he doesn’t think splitting the packaged-food giant into two entities will fix its problems, CNBC’s Becky Quick reported Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Berkshire Hathaway confirmed the accuracy of the report.

Buffett also said that Greg Abel, who’s expected to take over as CEO at year end, expressed his disappointment to Kraft Heinz, CNBC reported.
