Car Stalking Focus of FCC’s Latest Notice for Draft Rulemaking

The Federal Communications Commission on Monday issued introduced draft regulations that would expand requirements for communications carriers to include connected car services in the list of accounts which domestic violence victims may request control over to stave off their stalkers.

The proposed rule would build on the Safe Connections Act adopted in 2022, which requires communications providers to help domestic violence survivors separate their mobile service accounts from abusers.
