Abbeville, La.-based industrial cleaner Ecoserv LLC faces an EEOC lawsuit after allegedly engaging in a pattern of refusing to hire Black or female applicants or those 40 years old or over, according to the agency Friday.
The company allegedly instructed a human resources employee to limit the number of African Americans she hired. The HR official later discovered Ecoserv’s other alleged discriminatory practices, including refusing to hire women or older workers for non-office positions, the EEOC said.
The HR employee reported the hiring practices to a manager, and allegedly was fired shortly after.
