TaxSlayer Shared Private Data With Google, Meta, Suit Says (1)

A class action lawsuit has been filed against online tax preparation company TaxSlayer LLC, alleging that the company shared private taxpayer information to Alphabet Inc.‘s Google and Meta Platforms Inc.

TaxSlayer, one of the largest tax preparation companies in the US, unlawfully transmitted sensitive taxpayer data— including names, addresses, and names of dependents—via website ad tracking software Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, according to a complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
