TotalEnergies to Raise Age Limits for Chairman and CEO Roles

TotalEnergies SE will ask shareholders to raise the age maximums for the chairman and chief executive officer roles, a move that would open the door for Patrick Pouyanne, 62, to remain at the helm of the French supermajor for years to come.

The board decided to submit to the May 29 annual meeting a revision of the Articles of Association’s age limit for the chairman to 75 from 70, the company said in a statement Wednesday. For the CEO, the maximum would be lifted to 70 from 67.
