Wirecard Expands Management Team in Bid to Revive Investor Trust

Wirecard AG is expanding its management board to seven members and appointing a chief compliance officer after its shares tumbled in response to an inconclusive audit of the company’s business practices.

James Freis, 49, who has been responsible for compliance at Deutsche Boerse AG since 2014, will start July 1. Chief Executive Officer Markus Braun will focus on the strategic development of the company, Wirecard said in a statement.
