X Corp. Escapes Order to Pay Twitter Worker Arbitration Fees (1)

X Corp. need not front the costs of arbitrating severance benefits disputes with seven former Twitter workers, a US appeals court ruled Tuesday, concluding a district judge wrongly enforced an arbitration organization order that it do so.

The lower court lacked authority to make the social media platform, renamed by Elon Musk after his 2022 takeover, pay the amounts necessary to advance the private proceedings, which were required under agreements the workers signed when they started working at Twitter, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said.
