House appropriators prioritized nuclear energy and national security over renewable energy projects in a $57.3 billion spending bill for energy and water programs set for a subcommittee vote.
The defense portion of the allocation is $33.2 billion, while the non-defense portion of the allocation is $24.1 billion. The bill would provide $1.9 billion for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, which is $1.6 billion below the current enacted level.
