US Gets Court to Toss Whistleblower’s Anesthesia Fraud Lawsuit

The US government convinced a Utah federal district court to dismiss a whistleblower’s False Claims Act suit accusing Mountain West Anesthesia of improperly billing Medicare.

Judge Tena Campbell of the US District Court for the District of Utah dismissed whistleblower Michael D. Khoury’s suit Tuesday, following the US Department of Justice’s decision to invoke its power under the FCA to end whistleblower suits it believes aren’t in the government’s best interest.
