CDC Vaccine Advisers Schedule September Meeting Amid Disarray

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, currently awash in controversy as its leader fights her firing, scheduled a meeting of its key vaccine panel for September as experts plan a review of the shots that are currently the bedrock of the nation’s immunization schedules.

The Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices — or ACIP — will discuss the measles, mumps, rubella and varicella shot, plus vaccines to prevent respiratory syncytial virus and Covid.
