Long-Awaited Farm Bill Issued by House Agriculture Panel (2)

The House Agriculture Committee released an updated policy package Friday reauthorizing a range of federal farm and food programs that lawmakers have repeatedly struggled to build momentum on.

House Agriculture Chair GT Thompson (R-Pa.) has said he plans to start marking up the farm bill on Feb. 23, a key step in passing the measure out of the lower chamber before it expires Sept. 30.
