Nursing Homes to Pay $15 Million Over False Staffing Records

A federal judge in Pennsylvania ordered two companies operating Pittsburgh-area nursing homes to pay more than $15 million in restitution this week following their December 2023 convictions for obstructing and impeding a federal investigation and making false statements related to the payment of health-care benefits.
