Refugee Resettlement Aid Must Resume Immediately, Judge Orders

The federal government must immediately resume assistance for people who were conditionally approved for refugee status before President Donald Trump issued a Day One executive order suspending the US Refugee Admissions Program, a federal judge ruled.

The administration was ordered to restart processing, travel, admissions, and domestic resettlement support for anyone who got a conditional green light from US Citizenship and Immigration Services before Jan. 20.
