RFK Jr.’s Vaccine Panel Meets in Early Test for Scientific Sway

A group of embattled government advisers will meet this week in the first major test of who controls US vaccine policy: scientific experts or Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices gathers a few times a year to review data and make recommendations that determine when vaccines are given and whether they are covered by insurance. The influential group, mostly unknown outside of public health circles, normally does business with little fanfare.
