Compass Coffee, CEO Fail to Ditch Co-Founder’s Fraud Allegations

Compass Coffee LLC and its CEO Michael Haft must face a lawsuit brought by the company’s co-founder, which asserts violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and various fraud claims.

Harrison Suarez plausibly alleged with sufficient particularity that the Haft family engaged in a pattern of RICO activity, Judge Sparkle L. Sooknanan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said in a Monday order mostly rejecting the coffee company’s bid to dismiss the suit.
