Six transgender individuals convinced a Maryland federal judge to temporarily block President Donald Trump‘s policy of denying passports that conform to their gender identity.

Six of the seven transgender plaintiffs have shown they’re likely to succeed on the merits of their equal protection claim,” said Judge George L. Russell III of the US District Court for the District of Maryland in a Tuesday opinion, granting a preliminary injunction on that claim.
