Meta, Insurers File Dueling Motions in Social Media Dispute (1)

Units of Hartford Insurance Group Inc. and Chubb Ltd. are seeking a ruling that they have no duty to cover Meta Platforms Inc.'s legal costs in litigation alleging the social media giant got kids hooked on its platforms.

The insurers filed a motion for summary judgment in Delaware Superior Court on Thursday, after successfully getting the case punted back to the state court following a transfer to the underlying multidistrict litigation before a federal judge in California.

Meta on Thursday filed its own motion, asking the Delaware court to throw out or pause the case.
