Chicago soybean prices edged lower over worries of renewed tensions between China and the US, which are major agricultural trading partners.

President Donald Trump told European officials he’s willing to impose new tariffs on China and India to squeeze Russia, but only if EU nations do so as well, Bloomberg reported earlier. That stoked fresh concerns that trading relations between the world’s top two economies may derail again, casting a shadow over prospects of China buying US soybeans soon.
