Corn Drops Most in a Year as Trump Escalates Tariff Actions

Corn fell the most in a year, leading an overall decline in grain prices, as US President Donald Trump unleashed tariff actions and warnings on key trading partners including China.

Futures initially tumbled after the president in a Truth Social post on Sunday night targeted BRICS nations, which include major growing and consuming countries like Brazil, China and India.

“Any Country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS, will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10% Tariff,” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Sunday night. “There will be no exceptions to this policy.”
