Infosys Forecasts Slowing Sales Growth on Sluggish IT Spending

Infosys Ltd. predicted slowing sales growth for this year, as corporations curtail large information technology projects to prepare for geopolitical and economic challenges.

Revenue will stay flat or grow as much as 3% in the fiscal year through March 2026 on a constant currency basis, India’s second-largest outsourcing provider said Thursday. Analysts were predicting 6.3% on average.

India’s $280 billion information technology industry is trying to retain growth in the face of geopolitical tumult and elevated interest rates. Infosys and other outsourcers are offering new technologies such as generative AI to convince corporations to maintain or increase their IT budgets. ...
