Ireland’s Brexit Busting Means Sailing Past U.K.: Supply Lines

Imagine being stuck at Dublin port for 36 hours, in the dead of winter during a pandemic.

That was the fate of an unfortunate truck driver who landed at the port from the U.K. on a recent Saturday morning, without the paperwork he needed after Brexit became reality. Unable to contact his customs agent until Monday morning,he ended up staying at the port for two nights in what officials called a “detention” area.
