Latin America Shows Resilience Amid Trump Tariffs: Supply Lines

Latin America entered the latest round of US trade disruptions expecting severe fallout. Instead, the region is emerging from President Donald Trump’s tariff shock in a position of unexpected strength.

Exports from the region have surged over the past 12 months. Argentina said its overseas shipments last year were the second highest in its history, following best-ever export figures from Brazil and Chile in 2025.
