Pakistan’s Inflation Slows in April Ahead of Rate Decision (1)

Pakistan’s inflation slowed last month, though risks to price gains from global trade disruptions will likely keep the central bank cautious.

Consumer price index rose 0.28% in April from a year ago, according to data from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics released Friday, slower than the median estimate for a 0.6% gain in a Bloomberg survey. Inflation slowed to 0.69% in March. The current reading is the lowest since the index was created in 2017.
