Starmer Taps Chandra as UK Trade and Investment Envoy to US (1)

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has appointed his top business adviser Varun Chandra as his new special envoy to the US on trade and investment, as the UK seeks to mend relations with the Trump administration that were strained by the Greenland crisis.

Chandra will be responsible for furthering the UK’s economic interests in America by increasing trade and private-sector investment, people familiar with the matter said, speaking condition of anonymity about an appointment that has not yet been made public.
