Stellantis CEO Calls for EU Action to Save Fading Auto Industry

Stellantis NV’s new Chief Executive Officer Antonio Filosa called for urgent European Union action to rescue the region’s car industry as challenges mount for the Fiat maker and its peers in the face of competition from Chinese rivals.

Ahead of the Munich auto show and a key meeting in Brussels for the automotive sector this week, Filosa is pushing for the European Commission to adopt a more flexible approach on emission targets, echoing calls by Stellantis Chairman John Elkann and former Renault SA CEO Luca de Meo.
