Thailand Warns of Hit From US Tariffs Even as Growth Beats (2)

Thailand’s top economic council called for urgent structural reforms as exports are threatened by US tariffs, even after second-quarter growth surpassedestimates on a rush by businesses to ship goods to beat the new levies.

Gross domestic product in the three months through June rose 2.8% from a year earlier, the National Economic and Social Development Council said Monday. That exceeded the 2.7% median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey, and compared with a 3.2% pace in the first quarter.
