UK Chemicals Supplier Croda to Introduce Tariff Surcharge

UK chemicals supplier Croda International Plc plans to introduce a tariff surcharge in response to US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies.

“Although our well-balanced local manufacturing and procurement model helps to mitigate our direct exposure to tariffs, we are assessing the likely impact, talking to our customers and intend to apply a tariff surcharge to cover any associated incremental costs,” the company said in a statement.

Croda, which supplies chemicals to the likes of makeup giant Estée Lauder Cos., is the latest company to discuss slapping surcharges on customer bills.
