UK Issues Red Alert on Russian Shadow Fleet Sanctions Dodging

The UK government issued a red alert to raise concerns about potential sanctions evasion tied to the sale of Russian oil and gas.

British authorities warned that Moscow has leveraged a network of trading firms to sidestep restrictions while also gaining access to Western finance and professional services. They specifically cited a group of companies run by Azerbaijan nationals Etibar Eyyub and Tahir Garayev, both of whom were sanctioned in May by the UK.
