Acadia Health’s $875,000 Data Breach Settlement Gets Final Nod

Louisiana-based Acadia Health LLC will pay $875,000 to settle a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of nearly 130,000 people that was exposed in a 2023 data breach.

The deal allows those whose Social Security numbers were exposed to claim reimbursement for up to $10,000 in documented losses from the breach, members of the adult subclass to claim up to $12,500, and affected minors to receive 10 years of identity-theft protection, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for final settlement approval.
