American Axle’s Patent Win Over Neapco Jumps to $5.2 Million

American Axle & Manufacturing Inc. won nearly $1.2 million in prejudgment interest, adding to the $4 million jury verdict it won in a patent infringement suit against Neapco Holdings LLC.

Judge Gregory B. Williams’ order, issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, also rejected Neapco’s bid to limit a bond to secure a stay of judgment as it appeals. The court will later decide whether to impose a permanent injunction or ongoing royalty on Neapco’s propshaft sales.
