Apple, Theater Chain Settle Trademark Case Over ‘Apple Cinemas’

Apple Inc. has reached a settlement in principle with a theater chain the tech giant sued for allegedly infringing its “world famous” trademark and creating customer confusion.

Judge Denise J. Casper of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts canceled a status conference Monday “in light of the fact that they have reached a settlement in principle,” according to a docket entry. She gave the parties until July 13 to file their anticipated joint stipulation of dismissal.
