A federal district court in Illinois granted in part Numero Group LLC’s motion to dismiss in part TufAmerica Inc.'s counterclaims for copyright infringement and tortious interference with contract in this action seeking to establish a superior claim to music and that Numero didn’t tortiously interfere with a contractual relationship. The court granted the motion to dismiss the tortious interference counterclaim as preempted by the Copyright Act.
