The District of Delaware granted Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition LLC’s motion to dismiss Digital Media Technology Holdings’s action for infringement of a patent that relates to the distribution and display of multimedia material in conjunction with marketing material. The board determined that the claims are directed to the abstract idea of organizing, distributing, and marketing media content and related advertisements, and lack an inventive concept.
