A federal district court in California granted in part and denied in part Diode Dynamics LLC and 5DLight Inc.'s cross-motions for summary judgment on 5DLight’s counterclaim of obviousness and counterclaim and affirmative defense of invalidity of a design patent that discloses an LED lamp bezel. The court denied summary judgment on the counterclaim for invalidity, granted summary judgment on the counterclaim for obviousness, and granted in part and denied in part summary judgment on the affirmative defense of invalidity.
