Case: Patents/Summary Judgment (Fed. Cir.)

The Federal Circuit affirmed in part and reversed in part the decision of the District of Maryland in Durr Systems Inc.'s action against EFC Systems Inc. for infringement of patents directed toward rotary atomizers for particulate paints. According to the appeals court, the district court erred in claim construction and in its grant of summary judgment of noninfringement, but didn’t abuse its discretion in excluding the testimony of Durr’s expert.
