Cuban-Backed Osaro Accused of Infringing Robot-Vision Patents

Mark Cuban-backed startup Osaro Inc. was hit with a lawsuit seeking more than $100 million by a Florida company called the Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, which alleges Osaro’s robot-vision software infringes patents it acquired only weeks earlier.

Osaro’s SightWorks software, its robotic piece-picking systems, and its Robotic Kitting System integrated with Geek+ warehouse robots infringe US Patent Nos. 9,930,315, 10,075,693, and 11,257,272, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
