Google, Samsung Imports Infringe Memory Patents, Netlist Alleges

Netlist Inc. asked a federal trade agency to block imports of Samsung Electronics Co., Google LLC, and Super Micro Computer Inc. products the company accused of infringing patents protecting computer memory technology.

Samsung DDR5 memory modules and Google and Super Micro products containing them infringe six patents, according to Netlist’s complaint filed Tuesday at the US International Trade Commission.

Netlist has brought claims against Google and Samsung in multiple federal courts and has a broader patent-dispute history with the Korean tech giant.
