White & Case Partner U-turns to Join HSF Under US Hiring Push

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has made its first major US hire as part of its strategy to scale up in the region.

White & Case partner Burr Eckstut will join HSF Kramer as head of technology transactions, the firm said Monday. The move comes after a sustained effort to land Eckstut: HSF internally announced earlier this year that it had hired the New York lawyer only to see him stay at White & Case.
