Kalshi has 30 days to halt sports betting operations in Massachusetts, a state judge ruled Friday denying the market operator’s request to delay the ban while it pursues an appeal.
Suffolk Superior Court Judge Christopher Barry-Smith said Kalshi failed to justify staying his first-in-the-nation order granting Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell (D) a preliminary ban on Kalshi’s sports prediction contracts until it obtains a license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, which regulates sports wagers in the state.
