Comedian Jimmy Kimmel wants former New York Rep. George Santos’ copyright infringement lawsuit dismissed because Santos’ claim implying creators are protected from ridicule is unsupported by the fair use doctrine, Kimmel argued in federal court filing.

Kimmel, alongside American Broadcasting Companies Inc. and its owner The Walt Disney Company, filed a reply Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, countering Santos’ June 21 filing opposing their motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
