Montblanc Hit with Patent Suit Over Smartwatch Stress Monitor

A patent owner sued Montblanc North America LLC over the luxury accessories seller’s smartwatches incorporating systems to track a user’s stress levels.

Montblanc products including the Summit 3 smartwatch and mobile app infringe US Patent No. 11,468,984, Mobile Health Innovative Solutions LLC alleged in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Mobile Health said Montblanc encourages customers and partners to infringe the patent by advertising the smartwatch and providing user guides.
