Nike Fights to Keep Rights to ‘Total 90' Name in Trademark Row

Nike Inc. urged a federal judge against blocking its use of the “Total 90" name for soccer gear, saying it retained rights to the moniker even though the company let the trademark registration lapse.

Youth soccer league and retailer Total90 LLC’s motion for a court order barring Nike’s use should be denied because there is undisputed evidence the footwear brand marketed and sold multiple products bearing the “Total 90" mark from 2000 to 2025, according to a brief filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
